How to Join ULAS
Members of ULAS are of many different shapes and sizes,
colours and creeds, sexes (and sexuality), but there are
necessarily some
requirements for membership of the
Squadron.
If you satisfy those requirements, and if the information
you have found on this website has whetted your appetite
for flying, sport and adventure, approach us at the
Freshers' Fair at your university during September.
If you don't manage to get to your Freshers' Fair, or you
don't find us there,
contact us directly at THQ. We
interview candidates during the middle 2 weeks of
October so get your pitch in early. It is extremely
unlikely that we will interview anyone after that.
You could approach the Royal Air Force directly and apply
for sponsorship; sponsored students are automatically
granted membership of their associated university air
squadron. Start this approach by going to your local Armed
Forces Career Office (AFCO). The document which provides
details of this approach is PAM(Air)296.
